Rana El Kaliouby is a Deputy CEO at Smart Eye. She also served as CEO and co-founder of Affectiva, an Emotion AI technology. She has raised $50M+ in capital from top-tier investors to bring Affectiva’s Emotion AI. Now Affectiva got acquired by Smart Eye company.

Rana is a bestselling author of Girl Decoded, where she shares her personal journey of becoming an entrepreneur. She was included in the list of America's Top 50 Women in Tech by Forbes in 2018. She is also an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School, where she co-teaches topics related to AI.

Rana is a member of the Boston Steering Committee for All Raise and the Young Presidents’ Organization. Rana cares deeply about her role as an advocate for diversity and inclusion in tech and leadership. She’s a board member of several organizations, promoting AI research, education, and women in tech.
